Michigan Dog Owners Group (MiDOG)
is a group of citizens who came together for the sole purpose of establishing a dog park in the City
of Eastpointe. Please join us by becoming a member and we will keep you updated on the progress.
March classes are here! Please make sure to contact RARE to register as seating is limited. Hope to see you there!
Officially it is not open at this time.
The Eastpointe City Council needs to approve a change to the city’s leash ordinance to account for the dog park — and provide some liability protection to the city itself — and then people will be able to begin registering for the free etiquette class. After attending a class they will then be able to fill out the Application with the Recreation Authority.

To establish a fenced-in, off-leash dog park where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or wildlife.
To develop a beautiful, well-maintained space, open
to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold
the park's rules and restrictions.
To view this park as a community project, in partnership with the City of Eastpointe, designed
to satisfy the needs of dog-owners and
non-dog owners alike.
